A beautiful winter day at the
Yakima Arboretum in late November. My phone rings just hours before this shoot and it’s Stephanie Davis asking “Are we still on for the shoot today, it’s pretty cold outside”? “Oh yes” I say! A lot of people wonder how on earth they will survive a 2 hour outdoor shoot on a cold winter day, Well here’s my secret……
We jump into pictures right away upon arrival at the location, I’ll shoot for about 10-15 min (depending on how cold it is) and then take a nice warm break in the car. Once everyone is warm again we venture out to do another 10-15 minutes. So there ya go, some advice on how to get those great winter photos without freezing your tail off:)
Here are some of my favorites from our shoot yesterday.
