“Nice day for a photo shoot” says the local Seattleite with a shy grin walking by wearing a rain jacket and carrying an umbrella.
Yesterday my husband Cameron and I drove up to Seattle to do an engagement shoot with Jen and Abdi. They really wanted the Seattle skyline in the background so I was going to make due with whatever the weather had to throw at me. Even though it was raining off and on Jen and Abdi had such a good attitude and their playful personalities made the shoot so much fun. So despite the rain, the pictures turned out great and really captured how fun, spontaneous and in love they are.
Since Monday is usually the day Cameron and I take off, I thought it would be fun to bring him along and give him an opportunity to see what I do at “work”. We ended up getting stuck in traffic so we had a lot of time to talk. I took the opportunity to educate him on how the camera works and teach him what all the setting do and mean. Then, when we finally got to
Alki Beach I gave him my second camera with the telephoto lens and told him to have fun. I was amazed at how well he did for his first time. I think I’ll have to persuade him to join my business:)
Abdi is a huge sports fan and so is Cameron, so they got along great! Cameron kept checking his iPhone for updates on the Monday night football game and they were both rejoicing throughout the shoot. It was such a fun day and I’m glad we were able to get that awesome Seattle sky line in the background.
Jen and Abdi, Thanks for the entertaining shoot in the rain and I really look forward to photographing your wedding next June!
Cameron took these last two… Good Job Husband!!!
You rocked it Kira!!! I love the last shot Cameron took!
